Addiction of all kinds seems to plague more and more people everyday. In this 3-part series, George challenges the common thinking on what causes addiction and how to get out from under it. These recordings are adapted from a video recording of a talk George gave many years ago as well as a tape we sold as part of our mail order tape club. To round it out, we're including a client interview George did in November of 2019, a few months after a 4 Day Intensive at Pransky & Associates.
 
 
Chemical Dependency

The purpose of this recording is to give you a different outlook about the possibility of cure in the chemical dependency area, a more hopeful outlook than exists right now. In order to see the answer, you have to see the nature of the problem. And the nature of the problem is the reason that drugs are so difficult to kick and so popular is because they really do a lot to help people in distress. And if that's the problem, the answer's very simple. If you can help that person to do organically, to do on their own what the drug was doing for them, all of a sudden the urge to use that drug goes down, if not gets eliminated.
 
 
The Cure for Chemical Addictions

This recording suggests that the cause of people's abuses, not just alcohol and drugs, but people who are workaholics, people who are obsessive compulsive, every chronic dysfunctional behavior is a coping mechanism that enables people to find temporary wellbeing. This understanding eliminates the need for coping mechanisms because people have the feelings and the psychological lifestyle that they want without the coping mechanisms that they needed to get temporary relief. So instead of leasing happiness with their coping mechanisms, they're buying it with their understanding. Understanding is like buying wellbeing on a go forward basis.
 
 
Client Interview

This recording is a conversation between George Pransky and his client, Paul, who came to him for a 4 Day Intensive. Paul had struggled with alcoholism and depression for years and was at rock bottom when he had the opportunity to work with Pransky & Associates. On the third day, Paul made an absolute 180 and suddenly saw the Principles quite profoundly. Gaining an understanding of the human experience brought answers to questions he had been asking his whole life. We asked Paul to come back some time later to talk with George about his experience, what he saw in those few short days, and how he was doing months after their initial meeting.
